
‘Ethical Decision-Making in Care’ is a 4 week course beginning on 21st October 2019 and requires a commitment of 2 hours per week.
The themes of the 4 weeks are as follows:
Week 1 – introducing ethics and the Four Principles Approach in relation to a maternal health scenario
Week 2 – Exploring the potential of a Human Rights Perspective to understand ethical aspects of the care of seriously ill children
Week 3 – Applying ethics to a public health issue, drawing on a Virtue Ethics Approach in relation to the care of people with learning disabilities
Week 4 – Consolidating learning regarding ethical decision-making in care in relation to a care of older adults scenario with reflection on ‘what is good care?’
We have limited numbers for the first run of the course so only the first 250 people can sign up.
