Followup: #IDHEKSS Stakeholder Event – Update & offer of funding

Dear All

I hope that this finds everyone well.

George (@georgematuska) and I (@heksscyp) wanted to thank you for attending our event early this month at the Mercure Hotel, London. As we said, we are aiming that this is the first of such events, where stakeholders can come together to identify education and training issues for the workforce.

We promised we would keep you up to date with news and information. We are awaiting for Skills for Care to produce a report of the day which we will then pass onto you. We think that this will identify the issues raised at the day, and we can then start working on them.

For those of you who didn’t complete our Get Involved Form on the day, there is still time to do so, just click on the following link: https://goo.gl/0Lybpq

Finally, on the day lots of information was shared about how people are facilitating education and training in their own areas, often with very limited resources, and with a real passion to make a positive difference to clients and staff. We would like to support this as practically and quickly as possible. To this end, we have identified a sum of money that we are able to release to providers across the region to support this type of work. Any training and development would have to be completed over the next calendar year.

If you think your organisation would benefit from receiving funding, please email me (details below) with details of your proposal.  What we require is a description of the project and the key contacts, the costs and how it will be evaluated. This is not a competitive bid process. Your submission will be considered by both George and I and our recommendations put forward to our Senior Leadership Team. There is quite a short deadline for this – Monday 4th January – but I hope that this will allow you time to consider how your organisation might benefit from this.

If you have any queries please do contact me.

Best wishes
